Donald P. Kitts Mentoring
Award
Throughout his long career as an official, Don Kitts was
never too busy to share his knowledge of and love for the sports which he
officiated. As a result of Don's efforts, many officials have grown and
improved - not only as officials, but as individuals as well. In the
spirit of Don's memory, the Southeastern Athletic Officials Association will
annually present the SAOA Donald P. Kitts Mentoring Award. A nominee for
this award shall be a current member of the association who has "gone above
and beyond" in tutoring, training, generally assisting his/her fellow
officials for the betterment of the Southeastern Athletic Officials Association.
